Academic Programs

At Temple Baptist Seminary, we have a wide range of programs and degrees that can be attained.   Within this range of study, there are several options available to help each student fit his courses into his or her schedule.

You can earn a master's degree or a doctor's degree through:

  • Residency Programs
  • Distance Education
  • Modular Programs

Residency programs will give you the opportunity to enjoy an exciting collegiate environment and a dynamic church atmosphere.

Distance education will enable you to complete your degree program while remaining active in your present ministry.

Modular programs will provide a time of study and fellowship for a week with some of America's best conservative scholars and dynamic pastors.

Certificate of Christian Ministries  C.C.M.

Each of the Certificate Programs above may be completed entirely
through residency, modular courses, or distance education.

Credit Track:  For those in the ministry who have completed at least
two years of college work or the equivalent.  Special consideration is
given to those over 30 years of age with extensive ministry experience.

Non-Credit Track:  For those in Christian work who desire advanced
training in the ministry, but have little or no college work.

Master of Ministry M.M.
(36 hours)

distance education.  Designed for those with a baccalaureate degree who
desire to enhance their ministry skills.

Master of Arts in Biblical Studies M.A.B.S.
(60 hours)

baccalaureate degree who desire to preach and teach the Bible effectively.

Master of Arts in Christian Education M.A.C.E.

education including one week of modules.  Designed for those with a
baccalaureate degree who desire to serve as Christian education directors, youth
directors, Christian school or college administrators and instructors,
or church music directors.

Master of Divinity: Biblical Languages Track M. Div.
(90 hours)

those with a baccalaureate degree who desire competence in Bible
exposition, using original languages, to serve effectively as pastors, military
chaplains, and Christian leaders or those planning to enter a doctoral
program.

those with a baccalaureate degree who desire competence in Bible
exposition, using original languages tools and practicums, to serve effectively

to enter a doctoral program.

M.M. - M.A.C.E. - M.A.B.S. - M. Div. Specialization Focuses

The Masters Programs at Temple Baptist Seminary provide significant
flexibility for the student, with some 20 distinct specializations / concentrations
currently available and others pending. 

N.B.: TBS strives, with constant, consistent vigilance, to respond as rapidly as possible 
and prudent to the changing needs and demands of localized Christian ministry and 
global world cultures.

The Doctoral Program at Temple Baptist Seminary provides significant opportunity
for the student, with four (4) distinct specializations / concentrations, two of which offer additional, distinct emphases. 

Each of the Doctoral Programs above may be completed through residency, 
modular courses, or distance education; the latter with the inclusion 
of a one week modular class.
