Dr. James D. Price’s NEWEST Book:

James D. Price was Professor of Hebrew and Old Testament at Temple Baptist Seminary in Chattanooga, Tennessee, from 1972 to 2005, and Academic Dean from 2000 to 2005. He has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, with 25 years experience in that profession, serving as a senior research engineer for Franklin Institute Research Laboratories in Philadelphia before moving to Temple Baptist Seminary. He has a M.Div. from Northwest Baptist Theological Seminary in Tacoma, Washington (formerly Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary), and a Ph.D. in Hebrew and Biblical Literature from Dropsie College for Hebrew and Cognate Languages in Philadelphia. He has traveled on teaching missions to Germany and the Ukraine. He has been involved in various lay-ministries for over 60 years. He is the member of several professional organizations and the author of numerous journal articles.

He was the Old Testament Executive Editor and Chairman of the Executive Review Committee of the New King James Version of the Bible and a translator and section editor for the Holman Christian Standard Bible. He is the author of several books including God's Wisdom for Daily Living (Thomas Nelson, 1984), Complete Equivalence in Bible Translation (Thomas Nelson, 1987), The Syntax of Masoretic Accents in the Hebrew Bible (Edwin Mellen Press, 1990), and A Concordance of the Accents in the Hebrew Bible, 5 Vols. (Mellen Biblical Press, 1995).
